Chris Green

New Ambassador

We have recently welcomed Chris Green to our Ambassador program. He just finished the season with Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League, so it was incredibly kind of him to make time for us today. We really enjoyed getting to know him and for him to meet our families, whilst learning more about what we do. Thanks for joining our family Chris and we look forward to a great year ahead!

RFTK Launch Event

Late January we officially launched RBC Race for the Kids at the House with our new ambassador Sydney Thunder Cricketer, Chris Green, CEO of RMHC, Barbara Ryan and Country Head RBC, Dominic Hudson. Many of our families attended and a few lucky children received signed Sydney Thunder shirts from Chris.

Poster Volunteers

A MASSIVE thank you to our volunteers who helped distribute posters for the upcoming RBC Race for the Kids. We can’t thank you enough for getting stuck in and helping us spread the word for this ever so important event. A big shoutout also to Blue Star PRINT, Sydney who generously printed & delivered these to RMH Randwick. RBC Race for the Kids is only possible with the support of companies, groups and individuals like you!

Michael Crossland

Michael Crossland is not your average Australian hero. Not being one to rest on his laurels, Michael is not only a cancer survivor but an international best-selling author, inspirational speaker, a Queen’s Batonbearer in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and an ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Randwick as well as the 2018 RBC Race for the Kids event.

Jackson Fleeton

Jackson Fleeton is only 12 years old but has already dealt with a lifetime of adversity. Jackson suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, which means that the left and right sides of his brain are not connected. Everyday tasks like writing, simple maths or verbal communication can be very difficult for Jackson.

Jackson is currently the top individual fundraiser for the Race campaign, having raised over $3,500 himself and with no end in sight. What a phenomenal achievement!

Livia Vithalis

Livia Vithalis was only three and half months old when she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in her adrenal gland which had then spread to her liver and bones.

Thankfully Livia is now one and half and in remission, much to the relief and delight of her family. Having been so impacted by the kindness of all of the Ronald McDonald House staff and guests, when the Chicco family heard about the RBC Race for the Kids event they immediately wanted to take part. The entire family will be running the track remotely to raise awareness and much needed funds, as well as encouraging their friends and extended family to get involved.
